Last summer, I made a batch of lavender blueberry lemonade inspired by Outback’s famed cocktail and more so, by Panera’s non-alcoholic drink. It was an instant hit with family and friends. Not only was it delicious and a breeze to make, but its vibrant color and stunning presentation really stole the show.

- Pour the mixed lemonade into a shallow pan, freeze until slushy, then scrape with a fork for a refreshing granita. Or serve with a lot of crushed ice - kids' favorite!

How To Make Blueberry Lavender Lemonade
Brew the lavender syrup, then stir in lemon juice and water—and you’re done! See the recipe card for details.

Step 1: In a saucepan, combine water, sugar, blueberries, and 1 or 2 tablespoons of dried lavender. Bring to a simmer until the sugar dissolves (about 5 minutes), remove from heat, and let steep for 10 minutes.

Step 2: After steeping, strain the mixture. Press the berries against the sides with a spoon for extra flavor and let cool.

Step 3: In a large pitcher, combine the freshly squeezed lemon juice and cooled syrup. Add 4 cups of cold water.

Step 4: Add ice and stir well. For a nice presentation, add slices of lemon in the pitcher. Taste and adjust the sweetness or tartness if needed.

- For a beautiful presentation, garnish with lemon slices and fresh blueberries. For an extra touch, add a sprig of fresh lavender or mint.
