Ingredients
All of these ingredients can be purchased at Trader Joe's.

Naan/Flatbread: Trader Joe’s naan is accidentally vegan - no dairy, no eggs, just fluffy deliciousness. Unlike many store-bought brands (looking at you, Stonefire), which contain milk, TJ’s version skips the milk and still delivers on that chewy, toasty naan goodness. Always double-check labels, but as of now, this one’s a plant-based win! NOTE: The frozen TJ Tandoori Naan is not vegan. You'll want the fresh one in the bread section.
Frozen Falafel: Trader Joe’s ready-to-eat, frozen falafel is vegan and seriously flavorful, crispy on the outside, and tender on the inside. They’re pre-cooked, so you can pop them in the oven, air fryer (my #1 choice for a crispy outside and tender inside), or even microwave for a quick heat-and-eat option. I can not find an online link to their frozen falafel, but you can easily find it in the frozen aisle.
Tzatziki: I usually love making my own homemade vegan tzatziki, but the Trader Joe’s version is a delicious, time-saving option. It’s on the thicker side, so if you prefer a looser, more drizzle-friendly texture, stir in a tablespoon or two of water per ¼ cup to thin it out.
See the recipe card for quantities and a full list of ingredients.
Variations
- Make it a bowl: Slice the naan and serve everything over greens or rice for a falafel bowl. For another variation, you can add Lemon Herb Tahini Sauce.
- Add hummus: Layer in classic or spicy hummus for extra creaminess.
- Use pita or lavash: Swap the naan for other vegan wraps or flatbreads available at Trader Joe's.
- Add more crunch: Toss in shredded cabbage, pickled onions, or crispy chickpeas.
- Go spicy: Add a drizzle of harissa, sriracha, or hot sauce to bring the heat.
How To Make a Quick Trader Joe’s Falafel Naan Wrap
Here is the recipe in pictures. See the recipe card below for the details.

Step 1: Cook falafel according to package directions (oven or microwave). For extra crispiness, air fry at 325°F for 4–5 minutes—no preheating needed. Time may vary by air fryer.

Step 2: Heat naan in a skillet or oven until soft and toasty. I like brushing oil on the inside of the wrap before heating—it keeps the outside clean.

Step 3: Lay naan flat. Start with arugula, then 3–4 falafel, veggies, and a dollop of tzatziki. Cut the falafel in half if desired.

Step 4: Wrap or fold like a taco, and serve with extra tzatziki for dipping. Wrap in parchment or aluminum foil to keep the wrap from coming apart.
No-Mess Falafel Wrap Tips
To keep your falafel naan wrap from falling apart mid-bite (we’ve all been there), start by warming the naan just right—soft and flexible is the goal, not crispy and cracking.
A quick skillet toast with a bit of oil is perfect. I only add oil to the side that will be on the inside of the wrap so my hands don't get oily.
Go easy on the vegan tzatziki to avoid a soggy wrap.
When layering, start with greens to act as a moisture barrier, then stack your falafel, veggies, and sauce in that order to keep things stable.
For extra grip and less drip, parchment or foil is your bestie. If things are getting wild with the fillings, slice them in half or go with an open-faced style and grab a fork.
Serving Suggestions
- Serve with a side of Vegan Pearl Couscous Salad, quinoa tabbouleh, or a simple Mediterranean Cucumber Tomato Salad.
- Pair with extra vegan tzatziki, High-Protein Low-Carb Lupini Bean Hummus, or baba ganoush for a mini Mediterranean vibe.
- Go bento box style: Slice the wrap into halves and add fresh fruit, olives, and pita chips on the side.
- Keep it a flatbread by piling everything on and skipping the wrapping part—it’s great fork-and-knife style.
- Wrap in foil or parchment and keep the tzatziki on the side for dipping—perfect for meal prep or lunch on the go.

Trader Joe's Falafel Wrap FAQS
Yes—the fresh naan (also known as flatbread) in the bread section of the store is accidentally vegan (no dairy or eggs). Just skip the frozen tandoori naan, which contains milk.
Yes. Pita, lavash, or even tortillas work in a pinch. The naan is extra chewy and soft, but any wrap-friendly bread will do.
Yes! Prep the components ahead of time and assemble when ready to eat. Store the tzatziki separately so the naan doesn’t get soggy.

15-Minute Trader Joe’s Falafel Naan Wrap
Ingredients
- 2 pieces Trader Joe’s flat bread
- 1 package Trader Joe's Fully Cooked Frozen Falafel heat the number of falafel you will use for two wraps
- ½ cup arugula sub with lettuce or spinach
- ½ cup cherry tomatoes halved
- ¼ cup cucumber diced or thinly sliced
- ¼ red onion thinly sliced
- parsley chopped for garnish
- ¼ cup Trader Joe’s vegan tzatziki if you prefer a drizzle-friendly texture, just stir in a few tablespoons of water per ¼ cup to thin it out
Instructions
- Warm the falafel: Cook the falafel according to the package directions—oven or microwave both work. While air fryer instructions aren’t included on the packaging, it’s my favorite method for getting them crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Air fry at 325°F for 4–5 minutes—no preheating needed. Just keep in mind that times may vary slightly depending on your air fryer model.
- Warm the naan: While the falafel cooks, warm the naan in a skillet or directly on the oven rack until soft and toasty. Sometimes I brush a little oil on the inside of the naan before heating it in a skillet—this keeps the outside from getting greasy while still giving you that warm, crispy edge that makes the wrap extra delicious.
- Prep the veggies: Wash and preapre the arugula, tomatoes, cucumber, and onion. Optional: Toss them together with a little lemon juice, salt, and pepper if desired.
- Assemble the wraps: Lay naan flat and top with the arugula first. Then add 3–4 falafel balls per naan. Top with the veggies and tzatziki. Wrap it up in parchment paper or aluminum foil or fold like a taco. Provide extra tzatziki on the side for dipping.
